Keep going there’s still more!

Bryant Lake

This is one of the most amazing mountain lakes I’ve been to! I learned about this spot after my Dad, brother-in-law and I went wandering up this valley and found this lake in early spring and I knew as soon as I saw it I wanted to come back and stay the night.

The hike up kind of sucks because you are following massive washouts the whole way, just look up this area on google and you’ll get what I’m talking about, but being able to relaxed beside this lake for the eveing was well worth it.

One of the best things about sunrise in the mountains is the crazy silhouettes that come from the combination of mountain peaks and trees. Add in the reflection from a perfectly calm lake and you get a serene image.

After packing up camping and starting the hike out I noticed this perfect reflection in the calm waters. I loved how the ridge in the background guides your eye to the center tree which also has enough area around it to make it stand out from the other trees.

The weird thing about this image is that everyone who sees it thinks that it’s a valley filled with morning fog. The sad truth is that this is actually smoke from wildfires in BC that had moved in after sunrise and made breathing pretty difficult on the hike out.
